Hello parents, family members, and students! My name is Stacye Gibson-Hart. Welcome, to Kindergarten! I am excited to introduce you and your child to the wonderful and exciting academic experience here at Normal Park. Some of you are already a part of this amazing community, and know the lifelong memories and rich educational experiences our students, come to know as “normal” everyday academics.
I look forward to helping your child learn about Chattanooga, Cultures around the World, Habitats, and Cycles this year. We will also explore and learn about multiple authors in our author studies, exciting authors such as Kevin Henkes, Leo Lionni, and many others.
To let you know a little about myself…I have two children, both of which have experienced Normal Park as students. My daughter is 21, lives in Knoxville with her husband. My son is currently in culinary school and very soon I will have my own personal chef in the family! I recently married and my husband and I love to travel and enjoy spending time at our home on the mountain. My family and I are blessed to live on a farm that has been in my family for over 150 years. We have 3 dogs, 1 cat, and several chickens. Your student will most likely come home talking about my animals and our adventures around the farm.
I graduated from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1994, with a BS in Education, and in 2010 I received my Masters Degree in Elementary Education. I have taught Pre-K, 3rd grade, and this will be my 8th year of
Kindergarten. This is now my 12th year here at Normal Park,
WOW!! Time flies when you’re having fun!!
I look forward to a wonderful 2018-2019 school year!
