Ms. Scott

I am very excited to be joining the Third Grade team for the 2018-2019 school year! This will be my first year teaching in Chattanooga and I am ecstatic to be at Normal Park for my 7th year in the classroom.

I am originally from Ottawa, Canada where I completed a Bachelor of Arts Psychology, a certificate in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor of Education. After finishing my teaching degree, I immediately went overseas to teach English in South Korea. Once I spent a year getting my feet wet, I was eager to have my own classroom and moved to China where I taught in two International Baccalaureate schools over a total of five years.

While in China I met my husband Conor and I followed him home to Michigan, where I completed my Master of Early Childhood and taught First Grade.  We moved to Chattanooga last year and have found what we hope will be our forever home!  We have added two large dogs to our little family.  Baloo, a Newfoundland and Carson, a rescue Pyrenees mix, keep us on our toes by demanding lots of walks and dog park visits.

I am looking forward to getting to know each student and their families and enjoying an exciting year of learning together!
