The NPMM PTA is comprised of parents and teachers from both our upper and lower campuses. The NPMM PTA goals are to strengthen the bonds between parents and faculty and to support the growth and development of NPMM.

Normal Park Museum Magnet PTA Standing Rules
A number of major capital projects have been funded and led by the NPMM PTA over the past few years:
- 2004-2005: Discovery Playground - a $300,000 joint venture with City Parks & Recreation, providing an accessible, outdoor playspace for our lower school students and our North Chattanooga neighbors.
- 2005-2006: Teachers Lounge Renovation.
- 2006-2007: Lower School Library - a more than $50,000 complete renovation of our library space, including new carpeting, paint, shelving, computer tables and lighting.
- 2007-2008: Lower School Cafeteria - total makeover of our lunchroom for both cafeteria use as well as our aftercare program, including new lighting, seating, and indoor playhouse.
- 2008-2009: Upper School Playground - a new playground at the Upper School provides a fun new play space for children during recess and middle-school football games!
- Summer 2008: Bring It Together - The Upper School was completely transformed into an exciting, vibrant place to learn by our parents, teachers and the community.
- Summer 2009: Bring It Together II - The Lower School was also renovated in 2009 giving each classroom a well deserved "face lift." Again this work was done by the parents, teachers and community volunteers.
- 2010-2011: SunLab - outdoor classroom for the upper campus.
Additionally, the PTA supports the NPMM Education Fund as well as both Sports Boosters and Music Boosters.
The NPMM PTA sponsors two major fundraising events each year:
Normal-Palooza (November 12, 2011)
Our annual fall arts and music festival is a much anticipated community event. Over
60 artists and vendors line Mississippi Avenue in front of our Upper School to showcase
their wares, while a series of toe-tapping bands and performances rotate on two
outdoor stages. The "kids corner," complete with inflatables, pony rides, face painting,
and games is a perennial hit. And don't forget the great food from local merchants!

Our annual spring auction is a highly anticipated evening event. Bid on silent and
live auction items - everything from camps and gift baskets to terrific family vacations!
